        Indian e-Visa Applications

        India offers an online e-Visa system for eligible nationals travelling for permitted purposes, including tourism, business, medical treatment and certain other short-term activities.

        The application is completed online through the official Government of India e-Visa service. Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements for the particular e-Visa category and upload the required photograph and supporting documents.

        Our £100 e-Visa Support Service Can Include

        • checking whether the proposed journey appears to fall within an available e-Visa category;
        • providing a personalised information checklist;
        • checking passport validity and basic document requirements;
        • helping prepare the application information;
        • checking photograph and upload requirements;
        • reviewing the application information before submission;
        • helping the applicant to complete the application
        • helping the applicant to understand the official payment and submission process;
        • checking the administrative status of the application after submission; and
        • any necessary follow up work.

        Not Everyone Can Use the Indian e-Visa Service

        Eligibility depends on nationality, passport type, travel purpose and personal circumstances.

        The official e-Visa scheme is not available in every case. For example, certain passport holders, international travel document holders and applicants with specified connections to Pakistan may need to use a regular visa process instead.

        We will identify the published application route that appears relevant before substantive work begins.

        Overseas Citizen of India — OCI Applications

        OCI registration is available to eligible people of Indian origin and certain family members who meet the statutory criteria.

        OCI status provides a multiple-entry, lifelong visa for travel to India and a range of other benefits, subject to the rules of the scheme.

        Our £150 OCI Application Support Can Include

        • initial review of the proposed OCI application;
        • a personalised document checklist;
        • application form preparation;
        • review of current and previous passport evidence;
        • review of Indian-origin and family-link evidence;
        • checking birth, marriage and name-change documents;
        • checking photograph and signature requirements;
        • identifying documents that may require certified translation;
        • organising the supporting evidence;
        • preparing the application for submission; and
        • practical help with the relevant submission process.

        The £150 fee applies to a standard new OCI application. More complex applications involving missing historical documents, significant name discrepancies or unusually complicated family evidence may require a higher fee, which will be agreed before work begins.

        OCI Updates & Miscellaneous Applications

        Existing OCI holders may also need to update or reissue OCI records in particular circumstances, including changes to passport or personal information.
        UK Visa Plan can provide practical support with OCI miscellaneous applications and updates.

        Standard OCI update / miscellaneous support — £100

        Official Indian Application Services

        Indian visa, OCI and passport applications are processed through official Government of India systems and, where applicable, authorised outsourced application centres.

        UK Visa Plan is an independent support service. We help applicants prepare and organise their applications but do not have special access to Indian government systems and cannot influence processing times or decisions.

        How Our India Application Support Works

        1. Identify the Application

        We establish whether the enquiry concerns an Indian e-Visa, OCI, passport or another consular process.

        2. Confirm the Service & Fee

        We confirm the appropriate UK Visa Plan service and fixed fee before substantive work begins.

        3. Personalised Document Checklist

        We prepare a checklist of the information and documents needed for the particular application.

        4. Application Preparation

        We help prepare the application information and forms using the details supplied by the applicant.

        5. Document Review

        We review the supporting evidence for apparent gaps, inconsistencies and document-format requirements.

        6. Submission Preparation

        We organise the documents and explain the relevant Government of India, consular or VFS submission process.

        7. Practical Follow-Up

        If further administrative information or documents are requested, we can help the applicant understand and organise the response within the scope of our service.

        Names, Dates & Family Documents

        Indian passport and OCI applications can involve documents issued over many years and in different countries.

        Differences in names, spellings, dates of birth, marriage details or family information can create practical problems if they are not identified before submission.

        UK Visa Plan can review the available documents, identify apparent inconsistencies and help organise the evidence clearly before the application is submitted.

        Travelling to India

        Applicants should check the current entry requirements before travel, including passport validity, visa or OCI status and any arrival formalities.

        India introduced an online e-Arrival Card process in 2026. Foreign nationals can complete the e-Arrival Card online before arrival, but it does not replace the need for a valid visa or OCI status.
